Franschhoek Chamber Music Festival

The wait is over! You can now book your accommodation for the festival, taking place from Friday, 12 February to Sunday, 14 February 2027 at the NG Church in Franschhoek.

Enjoy concerts featuring CPO musicians in intimate chamber performances, and indulge in fine Cap Classique from Le Lude, along with local wines and delicious fare.

Tickets will be available on Quicket from 1 December 2026.

The masterminds behind the festival are Nic and Ferda Barrow, owners of Le Lude Wine Estate in Franschhoek. Nic and Ferda are passionate about the finer things in life and put their hearts and souls into everything they do.

All performances over the 3 days will take place at the Dutch Reformed Church on Franschhoek's main road.

2026 Programme

Sublime Chamber Music & Orchestral Works in Miniature

Through various incarnations from the Cape Town Municipal Orchestra via the Cape Town Symphony Orchestra to the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra, the CPO is financially and culturally sustainable, attracting some of the leading international and local artists of our time.

A multi-functional orchestra, the CPO delivers a world-class orchestra service to all communities in the region, participating in festivals and concerts across all genres of music. For the past twenty years Louis Heyneman has been the Chief Executive of the CPO and also the driving force behind the Len van Zyl Conductors’ Competition since its inception in 2010. In 2014 he was the co-author of A Century of Symphony: The story of Cape Town’s Orchestra.
